3rd Annual Kamishin Ryu Seminar/Reunion

On Saturday, November 1st, 2008 several black belts and brown belt students from the Academy of Martial Arts traveled to Walterboro, South Carolina to participate in the 3rd Annual Kamishin Ryu Seminar/Reunion.  Organized by Soke Darrell Collins of Nippon Kobudo Rengokai, this event brought together black belts and brown belt students from several schools and associations that continue to teach the Kamishin Ryu martial arts system developed by Dai-Soke Dr Albert C. Church.

Shihan Ron Cherry, Senior Technical Advisor in the Nippon Kobudo Rengokai, taught Kamishin Ryu Churl Kwon Do techniques at this year’s seminar.

Another highlight of the day was the Kamishin Ryu Jujutsu instruction provided by Shihan Tony Annesi, head of the Bushido Kai School in Framingham, Massachusetts.

The 3rd Annual Kamishin Ryu Seminar/Reunion was a memorable day for all participants.  The Sumter Academy of Martial Arts extends its sincere appreciation to Soke Darrell Collins and to others who made the seminar a huge success.  We eagerly look forward to next year's reunion, as another opportunity to share, grow and further the development of the Kamishin Ryu system as Dr Church intended.
